3. Don’t be afraid to get a little philosophical.
Because so many dating profiles tend to be the same, someone who reveals a little bit more about themselves or is honest about who they are and their philosophy in life can make a big impact. Think about how you feel about life and our place in it and if you have something to say, then say it.

4. Make a list of favorite things.
One of the easiest ways to make a great headline is simply listing off a few of your favorite things. They can be big or small, important or trivial, but it’s the small details about the small things you enjoy that can help tell someone more about who you are and what you’re looking for.
Examples:
IPAs, sunny days, new trails, and new people.
Live music, long weekends, and challenges.
Strangers on trains, old friends, and new adventures.
Sunday football, sarcasm, and great stories.
5. Obscure references are the best kinds.
Do you have a favorite book, movie, or TV show you can quote at the drop of a hat? Try pulling one of your favorite song lyrics or SNL jokes and reformatting it to a dating profile headline. You’d be surprised how much fun it can be.

My occupation is listed as 'Drug Lord'Here was the text:
I don't like music, fitness, the outdoors, pets, travel, or much of anything other than drinking. I wear Ed Hardy and Affliction every single day (I love rhinestones).
I'm not sarcastic or funny at all either. So if you're looking for that, I may not be for you.
Basically, I'm just looking for someone to give me a ride around town.
What I found so interesting about this profile was that I got messaged/approached more than when I did a 'serious' profile.

I tried to incorporate good pictures, pre-selection, social value, a sense of indifference, and most importantly HUMOR, and what I have found is that girls are messaging me with ease because they have something to joke about. I have gotten a lot of messages just from the 'drug lord' angle alone.
And when I get messages like this it is very easy to have a natural, humorous, flowing conversation that leads to an easy # close without EVER going into the boring 'interview' questions mode.
